Fall Festivals / Pumpkin Patches 2022

Fall is my favorite time of the year. Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides and candy are a-plenty!  Below are some of my favorite family traditions. 


September 30 - October 2: Oktoberfest-themed weekend at Sun Outdoors Sarasota ~ Prost! Celebrate Oktoberfest with pretzel races, axe throwing, stein relay race beer tasting. Guten Appetite!  Included in admission.

October 1 - Trinity Church Community Fall Festival ~ Enjoy live music, bounce houses and slides.  There will also be food trucks.  3PM to 6PM.  FREE.

October 7-9: Funtoberfest-themed weekend at Sun Outdoors Sarasota ~ Enjoy a weekend of family fun at our Fall Carnival, painting pumpkins, or take a hayride! And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down! Dance to live music or take a walk through our haunted house!  Included in admission.

October 8 - Pumpkin Patch Market ~ Waypoint’s Pumpkin Patch Market will showcase local vendors of arts, crafts, food and plants, a book exchange and last but not least a boutique pumpkin patch!!  FREE.  12PM to 4PM.

October 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30: Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival ~ Annual festival features hayrides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, face painting, mini train rides, a petting zoo, Halloween decorations, photo opps, costume contests, live entertainment and more.  Admission is FREE.  10AM to 5PM.   

October 14: Fall Festival and Chili Cook Off ~ Enjoy face painting, balloon animals, games, bouncy house, costume contest, food, drinks & more with your all-inclusive ticket ($35 for adults / kids 16 and under are free).  Hosted by Women's Council of Realtors Manatee County for Heroes Welcome Home, a veteran group.  6PM to 9PM.

October 14-16: Frightfest-themed weekend at Sun Outdoors Sarasota ~ It's a spooky time of year as zombies and ghosts take over the park. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family during the day but by night expect a truly frightening evening of fun with our Haunted House!  Included in admission.

October 14-16: Sarasota Rocktoberfest ~ Paragon Festivals with the Downtown Sarasota Enrichment Association bring an authentic 3-Day Oktoberfest experience to downtown Sarasota.  Festivalgoers will enjoy a wide variety of food, live entertainment and a Marketplace of arts, crafts and select fine products and services. Admission to this family (and pet)-friendly event is free!

October 14-16: Celtoberfest: Music and Beer Fest ~ Join the New World Celts Sarasota at Motorworks Brewing for their seventh annual Celtoberfest, a fantastic fusion of beer-swilling, kilt-sporting, lederhosen-loving merriment, live music, great food and drink specials, unique vendors and more.   Family and pet friendly.

October 14: Goblin Gathering ~ Local businesses will be passing out “treats & sweets” to attendees, plus there will be a hay maze, inflatables, face painters, a costume contest and more.  Entry and trick or treating is free / a $5 wristband is needed for additional activities.  5:30PM to 8PM.  

October 15-16, 22-23, 29-30: Hunsader Farms 31st Annual Pumpkin Festival ~ Enjoy live music and shows, games, pony rides, a petting zoo, a playground, train rides, hayrides, a Butterfly Encounter, food and drinks, crafts and more.  Parking $ || Admission $15 || Children 10 and under are FREE.  Cash only!  Additional costs for various activities.  9AM to 5PM.  

October 16: Parrish UMC Fall Festival ~ Activities include Games, Hayride, Music by DJ Waldo, Animals from Second Chance Ranch, Face Painting, Inflatable Corn Maze and Food Trucks and much more.  FREE.  4PM to 7PM.

October 16-23: Elwood Park Pumpkin Patch ~ Elwood Park has the pumpkins for your family this year. Starting October 16th there will be pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors for you to pick.  We are open daily from 12PM until 8PM with special fall fun activities & Food Trucks planned for Fridays (movies on the lawn 7PM to 9PM with free Icees for kids) and Saturdays (12PM to 7PM: Petting Zoo, corn hold, yard Jenga, Tic Tac Toe, hayrides, barrel carts, face painting).  All activities are free.

October 18-31:  Pumpkin Patch at UTC ~ Pick your perfect pumpkin!  Patch hours are: Monday – Thursday 3PM to 6PM | Friday 12pm-6pm | Saturday 10am-6pm | Sunday 12pm-5pm.  While supplies last.  All proceeds will benefit Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue.

October 21: Boo at The Bay (Sensory Friendly) ~ Activities include trick or treating, free pumpkin pickings, yard games, food truck feasts, chances to win prizes and more! Costumes are encouraged.  Designed to be accessible and inclusive for those that prefer a less stimulating environment.  FREE but registration required.  5PM to 6PM.

October 21: Boo at The Bay ~ Join in after-dark for a not-so-scary evening filled with trick or treating, free pumpkin pickings, yard games, food truck feasts, chances to win prizes, and more! Costumes are encouraged.  Additional special experiences include a Spooky "Moonlight in the Mangroves" tour and Family Movie Night (Hocus Pocus).  All is FREE but registration required.  6PM to 10PM.

October 21: Arlington Park Haunted Trail Carnival ~ Enjoy trick or treating, carnival games, a costume contest and parade, face painting, and much more.  FREE.  5PM to 7PM.

October 21-23: Witchfest-themed weekend at Sun Outdoors Sarasota ~ Don't be a basic witch and join us for a week of witch games, witchcraft, and make your own witch hats! You never know what tricks are up our sleeves. Don't believe us? Try out our Haunted House and see!  Included in admission.

October 22 - Blaze of Hope's Fall Fest ~ Fall festival featuring games, food trucks, raffles and prizes, a pop-up market, a Kids Zone, live music and more.  FREE admission.  11AM to 5PM.

October 22 - Pumpkin Patch Party ~ Enjoy food, games, a bouncy house, face painting and more.  Hosted by Christ Presbyterian Church.  FREE.  3PM to 6PM.

October 22 - Anna Maria Elementary Fall Festival ~ There will be plenty of food, games, interactive fun for the kids, a haunted house and a good old-fashioned bake sale.  Wristbands are $15 at the gate / $10 purchased in advance.  4PM to 9PM.

October 22: Arlington Park Pumpkin SPLASH ~ Come take a swim and pick out your favorite pumpkin from our floating pumpkin patch and then decorate or carve your pumpkin. $10 per person / registration required.  11AM to 1PM.

October 22: Pumpkin Spice Fest~ Enjoy pumpkin painting, hayrides and delicious pumpkin-flavored loaves, cheesecakes and rice crispy treats. Hosted by Gamble Creek Farms.  9AM to 3PM.  FREE.

October 22-23: The 2nd Annual Fall Festival at University Town Center ~ The Fall Festival will feature carnival rides, a pumpkin patch, trunk or treat (Oct 23 from 4PM to 6PM), a Lil Mr & Miss Pumpkin Pageant, a Pet Costume Contest, live entertainment, 40+ vendors, food trucks and beer trucks and fall-themed photo opps and activities.  FREE parking and admission.  11AM to 6PM.

October 22-23, 29-30 ~ Pumpkin Patch Express ~ Depart the train station for a trip to the Museum’s very own pumpkin patch.  Lots of activities are included with your ticket including hayrides, arts and crafts, Lincoln log building and games, plus all children will be able to pick a pumpkin from the patch to take home.  Train departs at 11AM and 2PM daily.  Ticket prices vary depending on seat bought.   

October 22-23, 29-30: Southern Magnolia Acre's Pumpkin Patch ~ Enjoy face painting, pumpkin painting, a pumpkin patch, vendors, crafts, food, photo opps and more.  11AM to 4PM.  FREE admission \ $5 parking.

October 23: Belle's Princess Parties Not-Too-Spooky-Halloween ~ Join Sally, Mirabel, Cinderella, and her two evil stepsisters- Anastasia and Drizella for an afternoon of trick or treating, crafts, spooky treats, meet and greets and more! Costumes encouraged.  Event is at 11AM (children 4 and under) and 1:30PM (children 5 and up).  Get your tickets - children $40 \ adults $25.

October 23: Fall-A-Palooza at Woodland ~ Enjoy a Candy Trail with decorated candy stations, face painting, costumed characters, live music, illusionist and other entertainers, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and so much more.  FREE.  5PM To 8PM.

October 28: BooFest on Main Street ~ Children can trick or treat from merchants and vendors in a safe environment. There will be live entertainment, children's activities, food trucks, a costume contest and more.  FREE. 6PM to 9PM.

October 28: Trick or Treat Spooktacular: Enjoy inflatables, bounce houses, games, crafts, a trick or treat and more. Hosted by Just Grow.  FREE.  5:30PM to 7:30PM. 

October 28: Fall Festival and Truck or Treat ~ Celebrate the season with games, bounce slides, food trucks, coco joes, trunk or treating, and an obstacle course.  FREE.  5PM to 7PM.

October 28: Fall Fest ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat and other fun family activities including hayrides, face painting, photo booths and field games.  Hosted by SRQ Core. FREE.  6PM to 8PM.

October 28-30: Haunted Fish Camp ~ See Jiggs himself, come back just for Halloween, and other scary creatures lurking in the pavilion. Even the kid's play area is spooky. Tales of Halloween from the 1940s will be shared around the fire.  Children 12 and under FREE / everyone else $5.  8PM to 10PM.

October 29: Annual Nature Halloween Party ~ Embark on a Spooky Scavenger Hunt at Sarasota Children's Garden and visit our Witch Garden for your trick-or-treat bag … but be brave! Decorate a friendly leaf ghost to bring home at our Nature Craft Station, dance at our Monster Mash Stage, and enjoy a spider sandwich. Included in admission.  10AM to 12:30PM.

October 29: Trunk or Treat at Westside Christian Church ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat, candy, a Kid Zone, popcorn, prizes, and food trucks.  FREE.  6PM to 8PM.

October 29: Palm View Fall Festival ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat, plus games, face painting and bonfire with hotdogs and smores.  FREE.  5PM to 7PM.

October 29: Halloween Trunk or Treat at Inverness Farms ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat, pony/horse rides, festive decorations, photo booths, food trucks, vendors and more.  FREE admission / $1 parking.  9AM to 4PM.

October 29-30: Wild-O-Ween ~ Enjoy the wildest family-friendly Halloween event in town featuring Pumpkin Painting, Pumpkin Bowling, Mummy Wrapping, Costume Contests, Pony Rides, Trick-or-Treat stations, Animal Shows, Wild Prizes and More! Included in price of admission.  12PM to 4PM.

October 29-31: Mote-A-Scare-ium ~ Enjoy trick or treating, a scavenger hunt, see our signature underwater pumpkin carving, meet our mascots, and more.  Mote Marine Laboratory / 9:30AM to 5PM.  Included with admission.

October 30: Fall Festival and Costume Parade ~ Enjoy a Costume Parade and Contest at 4:30 pm. There will also be Trunk-or-Treat, Games, Crafts, and a free snack supper (Hotdogs, chips, & drinks).  Hosted by Living Lord Lutheran Church.  4PM to 5:30PM.  FREE.

October 30: Family Fall Fest ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat, bounce houses and more.  Hosted by Happy Gospel Church. FREE.  4PM to 7PM.

October 30: Trunk or Treat / Fall Fest at Abundant Life Church ~ Enjoy a trunk or treat, Inflatables, a rock climbing wall, a mechanical bull, a balloon slingshot and more.  FREE.  4PM to 7PM.

October 31: Night of Light at The Tabernacle Church ~ Enjoy a free family fall festival featuring inflatables, hayrides, games, archery, prizes and more.  FREE.  6PM to 8:30PM.

October 31: Light the Night Family Festival ~ Enjoy trick or treating, inflatable games, bounce houses, preschool activities and more.  Hosted by Church of Hope. FREE.  6PM to 8PM. 

October 31: 19th Annual Halloween Safe Kids Night~ Enjoy a night of games, candy, a costume contest and lots of fun.  FREE.  5:30PM to 8:30PM.

October 31: Candy Carnival ~ Event features a Trunk or Treat (costumes welcome), hayride, a Petting Zoo, Inflatable Slides, a 65ft Obstacle Course, a Bungee Trampoline, Rockwall, a bounce house just for toddlers, carnival games, and face painting! Also enjoy free hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, and drinks throughout the event.  6PM to 8:30PM.  FREE.  Register for your ticket.

October 31: The Great Pumpkin Party ~ Enjoy food, face painting, crafts, candy, hayride, inflatables, trunk or treat, games and more.  Hosted by Dream Church.  FREE.  6PM to 8PM.

November 5: Fall Fest ~ Activities include bounces houses, inflatable corn maze, bungee jump trampoline for the kids, free BBQ and drinks, live music, Chili cook-off and a homemade Pie Bake cook-off (both have $5 entry fee). Hosted by TouchPoint Church of Sarasota.  FREE.  3PM to 6PM.

November 6: Sarasota Fall Spectacular ~ Enjoy FREE food, music, ice cream truck, big GIVEAWAYS, face painting, games, activities, and more. Hosted by Park Place Church - Sarasota.  FREE.  3PM to 5PM.
