Fall-Themed Shows and Special Events 2022

Whether you are looking for a spooky show or something for the entire family, we have it listed here for you!  Tours of the cemetery, a family fun musical tour, haunted trails and a Boo Run are just some of the fun events listed on this page.


October 8: Cemetery Tour ~ Take a trip through the 1850 Manatee Burying Ground and explore different facets of Manatee County's history on a FREE hour-long staff-led guided tour of our area's oldest public cemetery.  Tours are first come / first serve at 10AM.

October 14-15, 21-22, 28-30: The BooMobile ~ Hop on board for a fun family Halloween party on wheels during this 45-minute Magical Musical Tour with Miss WitchyPOO and her Magic Pumpkin!  Don’t forget to dress up—we give prizes for Best Costume on every BooMobile tour!  Includes complimentary Apple Cider and Cookies served on the Trolley Cottage porch before the tour.  6:30PM.  Tickets are $19.99 for children (ages 3 to 11) and $24.99 for adults.

October 14-15, 21-22, 28-29: A Walk Through Florida's Haunted Past ~ Herrmanns' Royal Lipizzan Stallions is excited to announce a brand-new Halloween event! A guide tour through some of Florida's most infamous hauntings. There will also be a child friendly haunted house for younger guests and carnival games.  7PM to 10PM.  Walking tours (recommended 13 and up): $10 || Dead and Breakfast (one parent may accompany child for free): $5 || Carnival Game prices vary.

October 14-31 (Various dates): Haunted Sarasota Tour / Mummies, Mayhem and Murder! ~ Hop on board our haunted trolley tour for a spellbinding, interactive, narrated adventure! Hear stories about famous murders, visit spirited buildings, and explore unsolved crimes during this 90-minute, air-conditioned nighttime tour.  Sit back and listen as our entertaining Ghost Hostess brings the rich history of Sarasota to life on this fun and spooky tour—be sure to keep an eye out for surprise guests along the way!  Costumes encouraged.  Tour includes complimentary beer or wine at the Trolley Cottage Tiki Bar before boarding.  For ages 12 and up.  8PM.  Tickets are $49.99.

October 14-31: Lights at Spooky Point ~ This new, Halloween-themed light show will transform the Historic Spanish Point campus into “Spooky Point,” where visitors will discover fantastic (but not too scary) creations around every turn.  Guests will follow an eerily lit path through the woods, encountering flying “ghost orchids,” giant “bat orchids,” dangling “spider orchids,” vine-twisted skeletons, and other surprises along the way. There also will be plenty of pumpkins and a hay maze to test your wits after a nighttime walk through the woods.  Nightly at 6:30PM and 7:45PM.  Tickets need to be purchased in advance - $20 for members || $25 for non-members || $15 for children (5–17) || FREE for 4 and under.

October 15: Witches Tea ~ Annual event at The Children's Garden with Halloween-inspired tea sandwiches and sweet and bubbling tea. Decorate your magical wand and visit our potion table.  Tickets required.  11AM to 1PM.

October 21-22: The 10th Annual Haunted Trails ~ Features the scary trail, a haunted house and a kid's trick or treat trail. Kids activities, games, smores and plenty of fun at the kid's event area, food trucks available. Tickets sold online only. Adults: $14 || Kids (ages 6 to 12): $6 || Kids (under 5) FREE.  8PM to 10PM.

October 27-29: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow ~ The Players Centre for Performing Arts is proud to present the 6th annual family-friendly Legend of Sleepy Hollow at The Sarasota Polo Club. October 27th and 28th at 6PM and October 29th at 4PM and 6PM.  Adult tickets $20 || Students 24 and under $10 || Family 4-Pack $50.

October 28: Teen Halloween Skate ~ Open to middle schoolers and above.  Enter the costume contest and win $100 cash.  Admission is $9 (plus skate rental) || Wear a costume and get 1/2 off admission.  8PM to 11PM.

October 28: Spooky Play Date ~ This is an awesome opportunity for your little sweet pea to get their wiggles out and play while you interact with other adults in our facility.  There will be a "spooky" lesson plan and children are invited to come in costume.  Hosted by Sweet Peas Gymnastics of Lakewood Ranch.  10AM to 11AM.  $15 (must have paid enrollment fee).

October 28-29: Halloween Haunted House at the Masonic Park and Youth Camp ~ Join us for our 5th annual haunted house and fright trail.  Cost is $10 per vehicle and is payable upon entry.  The haunted house and fright trail may be too intense for young children under the age of 13.  6:30PM to 10PM.

October 28-30: Fun and Fright Circus Show ~ All New Show Featuring Professionals and Students showcasing Flying Trapeze, Equestrian Arts and Aerial Artistry.  Come early and enjoy yard games, petting farm, face painting and more! Hosted by Circus on the Ranch. Tickets are $15 for adults / Children 12 and under are free.

October 29: Boo Run 5K ~ In-person and virtual options available.  The run will benefit Another Day for Gray and the Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch!  Tickets are $35 / $15 for kids.

October 29: Halloween Haunted House ~ Haunted house, fairly scary, but family friendly.  FREE.  6:30PM to 10:30PM.

October 29: Spooktacular Open Gym at Sweet Peas Gymnastics Lakewood Ranch ~ This awesome opportunity for your little sweet pea to get their wiggles out with a "spooky' twist.  Kids are invited to come in their costumes.  1:15PM to 2:15PM.  $15 (must have paid enrollment fee).

October 30: Halloween Spooktacular ~ Ovation’s Halloween Spooktacular performance will be back this year with the added attraction of a Haunted House!  Show times are 5PM, 6:30PM and 8PM.  Tickets are $10.

October 30: All Day Halloween Glow Party ~ The lights will be off and the glow lights will be on for a fun Halloween party with candy and prizes.  Anyone with a costume on will get $5 in Jumpin Fun bucks with any paid admission. 11AM to 6PM.

October 30: Halloween Bike Parade and Block Party ~ Costume up, enjoy delicious food, build community and ride together.  FREE.  2PM to 8PM.

October 30: Halloween Skate ~ Open to all.  Join in the costume contest (elementary-aged kids) and win $100. Admission is $7 (plus skate rental) || come in costume and get 1/2 off admission.  1PM to 5PM.
