From fall wreaths to ceramic candy holders, Fall is the perfect time to get your DIY on! There are a number of local businesses that offer fall crafts and classes.

Oct 1 - Ghosts of the Tampa Triangle ~ The area of Tampa and the surrounding towns have their own special kind of ghost and their own kind of ghost stories. This presentation gets into the many tales of the area and their impact on the history of those owns. 1PM to 3PM at Palmetto Library. FREE.
Oct 4 - Manatee Film Society Presents: Spooky Cinema (Dracula) ~ Showing the classic version starring Bela Lugosi (75 mins.) with a brief discussion at the conclusion. 6PM to 7:30PM at Palmetto Library. FREE.
Oct 4 - Manatee Film Society Presents: Spooky Cinema (Frankenstein) ~ Showing the classic version with Boris Karloff (70 mins) with a brief discussion at the conclusion. 6PM to 7:30PM at Palmetto Library. FREE.
Oct 7 and 12 - Clay Pumpkin Night ~ Make your own CLAY Pumpkin! A delicious Pumpkin treat and fall-inspired sangria will be available. For teens and up. 6:30PM to 8PM. $30.
Oct 12- Storytime on the Green ~ Enjoy storytime, crafts and snacks. The October event will include a reading of: "Pig the Monster" by Aaron Blabey, "Busy Betty" by Reese Witherspoon and "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson. FREE. 10AM to 11AM
Oct 18 - Imagination Station: Halloween ~ Celebrate spooky season by creating crafts that haunt, drop, and ooze. FREE. 5PM to 6PM at Palmetto Library.
Oct 18-19 - Mornings with Mommy ~ This week's theme is Fall Fun - Pumpkins and Leaves! Activities will include arts and crafts, sensory table, story time, music, educational toys, and snack. $5 per family. Register in advance. 9:15AM to 10:15AM.
Oct 20 - Movie Night ~ Catch a free showing of the movie "Hotel Transylvania" starting at 6PM at the Island Branch Library.
Oct 21 - Girl's Only! Kids Night Out ~ Paint a ceramic pumpkin, Create a fall-inspired canvas and Craft your own pumpkin spice soap at Arts a Blaze Studio. For girls ages 7 and up. Tickets are required and are $35 per girl.
Oct 24 - Halloween Fun ~ Come join us for crafts, games and trick-or-treating throughout the library! 6PM to 7PM at South Manatee Library. FREE.
Oct 26 - Costume Story Time ~ Join us for a special story time filled hour of Halloween stories, spooky music, dancing, and crafts! Costumes encouraged! 10AM to 11AM at Palmetto Library. FREE.
Oct 27 - Beauty and the Beast Fall Festival ~ Come and enjoy fun, snacks, and crafts while we celebrate all things Beauty and the Beast! 6:30PM to 7:30PM at Braden River Library. FREE.
Oct 28 - Costume Story Time ~ Join us in costume while we sing, play, dance, and read all while promoting your baby's development and literacy skills. No registration is required. For ages 0-16 months with a caregiver. 10AM to 11AM at Palmetto Library. FREE.
Oct 28 - Screen on the Green ~ Enjoy a FREE screening of the movie "Hocus Pocus" at UTC. 8PM To 10PM.
Oct 29 - Halloween Art Explorers ~ This free scavenger hunt at The Ringling is fun for the whole family! Solve riddles, find clues, and "draw" conclusions to help us solve a mystery hidden within our collection. Ticket required. Starts at 10AM.
Oct 29 - Mr Stevey and Friends Presents: Calm Characters - A Halloween Celebration ~ Through Halloween Arts, Crafts, Books, and more Mr. Stevey and his Teaching Artist Friends will teach all of us be calm, be kind and to be caring. Includes FREE lunch, book giveaways and more. FREE. 12PM to 2PM.
Oct 29 - Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza ~ Join us for a festive evening of carving and decorating pumpkins! Light your porch with a grinning jack-o-lantern or carve a spooky scene! We provide the pumpkin and carving tools, you provide the creativity. $10 to cover all supplies. Register in advance. 2PM to 4PM at Robinson Preserve.
