The Manatee Family YMCA Summer Camp is loaded with fun and offers all the benefits of traditional camp - new experiences, safety, team building, a sense of community and lasting friendships. Weekly field trips, weekly themes, outdoor adventures such as archery, sports and swimming! Camp gives your child the opportunity to express themselves creatively and independently with old and new friends.

Week One of camp begins June 3rd and the last week of camp will be Aug 5-9th – Camps run Monday through Friday from 9AM to 4PM.  An extended day is available from 7AM to 9AM and 4PM to 6PM. included in the weekly fee.

Registration opens March 18th for Members, and March 25th for all others.  The cost is $125/Week for Members, $225/Week for All Others.


There is a one-time registration fee of $30/child on or before May 1, fee increases to $50 per child after May 1. There is also a deposit required at sign up of $30/week/child which is applied to weekly fees.  Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Weekly balance payments minus deposit fee (paid in advance to reserve your week) is due no later than the WEDNESDAY BEFORE each week the camper attends. An additional $15 late signup or payment fee will be applied after each Wednesday. 


Campers are able to register for one week, several, or all.

Financial assistance is available to those who qualify thanks to generous contributions to our Annual Campaign. Applicants must bring a current 1040 form and include number of people in the household.  If 1040 form is not available, another form of income verification is required to apply for a reduced rate
to attend camp. To apply for financial assistance, please visit the Welcome Desk at any Manatee YMCA branch.

Mini camps are also offered throughout the summer – All mini camps at the Bradenton location are from 10AM to 12PM and are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  

Week 1: June 3-7 Aerial Camp - Using suspended aerial hoop students will learn the various techniques to enter and exit the hoop along with conditioning, strength, and flexibility exercises. All classes are taught over safety mats with hands on
spotting by an experienced aerial instructor.

Week 2: June 10-14 Fitness Camp - This will be an introductory class for kids to learn proper technique and the importance of fitness. This will be taught by a professional trainer. Your kids will get to experience multiple fun training techniques using ropes, agility ladders, and much more!

Week 3: June 17-21 Dance Camp - This camp teaches the basic fundamentals of ballet, tap, hip-hop, and jazz with little to no experience. Campers will acquire confidence and techniques of modern dance. Emphasis is placed on the rhythm, coordination, and fun!

Week 4: June 24-28 Aerial Camp - Using suspended aerial hoop students will learn the various techniques to enter and exit the hoop along with conditioning, strength, and flexibility exercises. All classes are taught over safety mats with hands on spotting by an experienced aerial instructor.


Week 5: July 1-5 No Specialty Camps Scheduled


Week 6: July 8-12 Soccer Camp - Our sports director will work with the children to improve fundamentals including footwork, ball skills, passing, and shooting.  We will work our way up to a full speed scrimmage at the end of the week to show off our newly acquired skills.

Week 7: July 15-19 Culinary Camp - In this course we will experience the tastes from around the world with different countries themes every day. This will be an introductory class for kids to understand how to use basic kitchen appliances as well as, try new ways to make healthy and tasty snacks!

Week 8: July 22-26 Basketball Camp - Our sports director will work with the children to improve fundamentals including ball handling, passing, and shooting technique.


Week 9: July 9 - August 2 STEM Camp - Science, technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This class will test your ability to solve problems, construct and build, and creating science experiments! We will learn about electrical waves, outer space and more about the world around us.

Week 10: August 5-9 No Specialty Camps Scheduled
