Whether you are looking for a spooky show or something for the entire family, we have it listed here for you! Haunted tours, a family fun musical tour, holiday-themed markets, a light show and a Boo Run are just some of the fun events listed on this page.


   Select nights Aug 21 - Dec 28 (Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM) ~ Ghosts and Gruesomes: Experience the spirited and sinister side of Sarasota on this one-of-a-kind walking tour to learn more about the area and some of the residents who still call it home – many, many, many years later. Hear the haunting tales and feel the chill in the air. Boo! Reservations required – Parental discretion is advised – not recommended for small children. Tickets are $24.95. Hosted by Sarasota Suncoast Tours.

   Select dates Aug 21 - Dec 31 ~ Haunted History Walking Tour: This 75-minute tour is packed with history and ghost stories. We’ll also share ghost hunting tips and tricks. You’ll even have an opportunity to catch your own ghost by using real paranormal investigation tools.  Hosted by Venice Florida Tours.  $25 per person.

   Select dates Sept - Oct ~ Dr. Pineapple's Haunted Laboratory Murder Mystery Dinner: Hilarious and fun interactive mystery show for ages 21+.  Each guest will be assigned a character in advance and encouraged to come in costume.  Reserved tickets of $99++ includes a chef-inspired four-course meal, a complimentary glass of wine and coffee or tea.  

   Oct 9-31 ~ Lights at Spooky Point: Don’t miss the chance to see our Historic Spanish Point campus transformed into “Spooky Point” where you can follow an eerily lit path and encounter fantastic creations and bootanically-themed decorations along the way. Equal parts creepy, campy, and cute, this walk-through show is fun for all ages.  Early entry 6:30PM | General Admission 7:45PM | Ends 9PM.  Purchase tickets online.

   Select Nights starting Oct 13 ~ Haunted Sarasota Tour: Hop on board our trolley for a historical tour of Sarasota’s haunted past! Hear stories about famous murders, visit spirited buildings, and explore unsolved crimes during this 75-minute, air-conditioned nighttime tour.  18+ only.  Tickets start at $53.99.

 Tours resume in Oct - dates TBD ~ Cemetery Tours: Join us for a free hour-long tour of the 1850 Manatee Burying Grounds led by a member of Manatee Village's staff. Tours cover different facets of life during Manatee's Founding Period (1840-1918) as well as stories of those buried in the burying grounds.  

   Select Nights Oct 11-29 ~ The BooMobile: Hop on board for a fun family Halloween party on the trolley, a 45-minute Magical Musical Tour. Children and their parents will join WitchyPOO on a delightful musical hunt for her missing Pumpkin all around downtown Sarasota’s historic landmarks.  Nightly tours at 6:30PM.  Recommended ages 2 to 11.  Tickets are $25.99 for children (ages 2 to 11) and $40.99 for adults (ages 12+).  

   Oct 11 and 12 ~ A Symphonic Spooktacular: Gather witches, wizards, and ghosts for our newest addition to the concert season, a ‘not-so-scary’ Spooktacular featuring a harmonious collaboration of symphonic sounds and storytelling. At Venice Performing Arts Center.

   Oct 24-26 | 6PM ~ The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: Performed by The Sarasota Players. Tickets: Adult - $25.00, Child (under 18) - $10.00. Note: Fall Festival on October 26 ONLY starting at 2PM.  Free admission to the festival / bracelets required for access to games, prizes, face painting, photo booth, bounce houses and more.  $10 if pre-ordered with performance ticket or $15 at the door.

   Oct 26 | 11AM to 12:30PM ~ Mr. Stevey and Friends Halloween: Embrace Your Fears:  FREE books, FREE lunch, FREE admission.  This event will feature art activities, music making, and read-aloud featuring a mindful moment.  RSVP.

   Oct 26 ~ Boo Run 5K / Kids Boo Dash: Race to support two charities this year - Another Day for Gray Foundation AND the Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch!  In person and virtual options available.
