Fall Events Worth the Drive 2024

Take a Road Trip to enjoy these Fall Festivals and Events!

Want to head out of town for a fall festival or Halloween-inspired event?  There are a number of fun events going on all around!  Here is a list of recommended events that are within a 2-hour drive of Bradenton. Please note that some of these events are intended for mature audiences only due to the graphic nature of the event!  Enjoy!  


   Select nights beginning Aug 9 through Oct 31 - Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween (Orlando) - It's the happiest haunting on Earth! Don't miss your chance to collect candies, sweets and other frightfully delightful treats all while the park hosts grim grinning ghosts, eerie entertainment and Disney characters that go bump in the night.  Separate ticket required.

   Select nights beginning Aug 30 through Nov 2 - Scream-A-Geddon (Dade City) - Florida's premier horror park featuring 6 haunted houses and the monster midway.  Not recommended for small children.

   Select nights beginning August 30 through Nov 3 - Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights (Orlando) - Explore terrifying haunted houses, make your way through multiple scare zones where creatures lurk around every turn, enjoy outrageous live shows and enjoy many of the park's most exciting rides and attractions. Not recommended for small children.  Separate ticket required.

   Select nights beginning Aug 31 through Nov 3 - Sea World's Halloween Spooktacular  (Orlando) - Enjoy fun surprises, candy, costumes and more! Kids love trick-or-treating (with purchase of reusable bag) during this daytime event as they explore our decorated trail and meet colorful characters. This year be sure to check out all our immersive family Spooktacular Festivities and plan your visit this fall.  Event is included with park admission.

   Select nights beginning Sep 6 through Nov 2 - Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream (Tampa) - Unexpected terrors lurk around every corner, including hundreds of roaming creatures, new haunted houses and exciting, live interactive entertainment.  Plus enjoy Florida's top thrill rides in the dark. Not recommended for small children.  Separate ticket required.

   Sep 7 - Oct 27, 31 (Saturdays and Sundays) - Busch Gardens Halloween Harvest (Tampa) - The all-new event will feature fun activities for all ages, including Kandy’s Sweetacular Celebration at the Festival Walkway, where guests can step into a world of enchantment and not-so-spooky Halloween fun. Plus, guests can capture the perfect fall moment at an assortment of autumn-themed photo spots scattered throughout the park.  Included in the price of admission. 

   Select Saturdays and Sundays Sep 13 - Oct 27 - LEGOLAND Brick or Treat (Winter Haven) - Swoop into the spellbinding spirit with ghoul-tastic shows and experiences, tidal waves of candy, wickedly delicious treats, and exclusive LEGO® characters! Best of all, this event is included in regular admission.

   Sep 20 - Nov 17 (Fridays through Sundays) - Harvest Holler Farm (Polk City) - Enjoy the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, the “See the Animals” Adventure Hayride, or catch a ride on the Cow Barrel Train. Don’t forget to head over to the Giant Oaks and swing on the tire swings and then Climb Hay Mountain to it’s tallest peak.  From there you can overlook the Old Farm Miniature Golf Course and get an aerial view of Big Frank-n-Slide, one of our most popular attractions.  Tickets $17 adult / $14 children (ages 2-12).  Hours Friday 4PM to 8PM | Saturday 12PM to 8PM | Sunday 12PM to 5PM.

   Sep 21 - Oct 31 - Screamin' Green Hauntoween (Orlando) - This event is CHALK-full of spooky happenings: a themed scavenger hunt, spook-tastic crafts, character photo ops, and more!  Every weekend enjoy trick-or-treat stations!  Event is included with general admission.

   Sep 27 - Oct 27 (Fridays through Sundays) - Creatures of the Night at Zoo Tampa (Tampa) - Ghouls and goblins of all ages can enjoy howling outdoor experiences, spooky characters, creepy culinary treats, and much more! This year's event features the Testudians, a group of aliens who have disguised themselves as reptiles for centuries to live among us and transmit information about Earth for an extraterrestrial invasion.  After 4PM.  Separate ticket required.  

   Sep 28 - Oct 27 (Saturdays and Sundays) - Fox Squirrel Corn Maze (Plant City) - This festival features a corn maze, pumpkins for sale, hayrides, games, vendors, music and simply enjoying the great outdoors. 10AM to 6PM. Tickets are $12.  Children ages 3 and under are free. 

   Sep 28 - Nov 2 (Saturdays and Sundays) - Dade City Farms Fall Festival (Dade City) - Enjoy a corn maze, jump pad, a pumpkin patch, playground, petting zoo, petting zoo, a sunflower patch, a bubble station and lots more! 10AM to 5PM. Online tickets are $12 for ages 12 and up | $9 for ages 3-12 | FREE ages 0-2.

   Oct 5-27 | 10AM to 3PM (Saturdays and Sundays) - Harvest Days at Keel Farms (Plant City) - Activities for all ages including Hayrides, Corn Maze, Camel Rides, Pumpkin Patch, local vendors, Kid Zones and Special Releases of Fall Wines, Ales, and Ciders!  FREE admission / $10 parking.

   Dates to be determined - St Pete Pier Fall Festival (St Petersburg) - Kick off the Fall Season with the Fall Festival, featuring family friendly entertainment, activities, food vendors, games/rides and the area's only waterfront pumpkin patch.

   Select nights Oct 11-26 - Jurassic Haunt (Plant City) - Dinosaur World's first after hours Halloween event featuring scare zones, haunted train rides and more. 6PM to 9PM. Included in day admission cost or just $15.  

   Oct 18-20, 25-27, 31 - Halloween Notte (Port Charlotte) - Enjoy bounce houses, rides, haunted houses, a haunted hayride, food trucks, vendors, a petting zoo, pony rides, photo opps and more. 

   Oct 19 - 4th Annual Taste of North Port Food and Fall Fest - This event will feature local vendors, crafts, artisans, local food trucks North Port & beyond and more! Children's costume parade and contest at 1PM. 

   Oct 26-27, Nov 2-3, 9-10 - Padgett Ranch Family Fest (Arcadia) - Enjoy a giant bounce pillow, a corn maze, train rides, a playground, vendors, food, fun and more.  Admission $10 | 2 and under free.
