Description
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon where science meets sweetness! At our Tween STEAM Workshop during October, kids aged 8-12 will dive into the delicious world of candy making while exploring the fascinating principles of chemistry and engineering. From creating a take home jar of growing rock candy to melting ghost marshmellows to making up dna shapes with candy pieces, this hands-on event will blend creativity with learning.
- Limit to 20 tweens. Registration will open 1 month in advance.
- Registration is required with spots held for only 15 minutes after start time; Waitlisted guests will fill in spots in the order of registration.
- Parents/Guardians must remain in the library building at all times while tweens are participating in the event; The responsibility for the safety and behavior of children in the library rests with the parent/care giver and not the library personnel.
- Supplies are provided by the library during the event and are available while supplies last.
