Description
The City of North Port invites the community to enjoy a special fireworks display for Independence Day at the annual Freedom Fest Fireworks, presented by American Irrigation! The show will be launched from the North Port High School site used for last year’s physically distanced event.
Attendees will be invited to park in the lots at North Port High School, Heron Creek Middle School, and at Butler Park. Parking will open at 6:00 p.m. and mobile food and merchandise vendors will be available on site. Attendees are invited to view the show from their vehicles or parking spaces. Individuals will also be able to bring their chairs or blankets to claim spaces on the grass at the Butler Park fields. Don't forget to practice good physical distancing!
Seating and parking are available on a first come, first serve basis and the high-flying fireworks show by Garden State Fireworks will start at 9:00 p.m. Those who prefer to enjoy the show from home will be able to stream it on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/NorthPortParksAndRec.
Attendees can enjoy the music for the show by tuning in to WKDW 97.5 FM. The display is expected to end around 9:30 p.m.
