Description
Canine Christmas is a pet and family friendly event held every November. This year Canine Christmas will be on Saturday November 16th and Sunday November 17th from 10am-4pm both days!
Every year, dozens of local vendors come to the Bishop grounds including animal rescues, food trucks, dog groomers and trainers, as well as over 50 vendors selling pet and holiday related merchandise so you can get your Christmas shopping done early! We'll also be hosting a raffle to raise money for dogs in need of specialized surgeries so there will be lots of cool door prizes to win!
This free festival features adoptions from Bishop and other rescues in the area. Oneblood will be doing a blood drive and anyone who donates will get a free adoption through Bishop! Food trucks will be at the event serving shaved ice, hot dogs, BBQ, calzones, ice cream and more!
There will be a Doggy Fashion & Talent show on Saturday hosted by The Doggy Diva Show where pups and their owners can take home trophies in different categories. For Fashion, 1st and 2nd place trophies will be awarded to Most Creative, Best Pet/Owner Duo, Best Group and Best Christmas Spirit! For Talent, 1st and 2nd place trophies will go to the Best Jumper, Best Shedder, Musical Hoops winners, and Best Trick!
Also on our stage, we will have an exciting demonstrations from our friends at Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc. and you can also enjoy our live music performers from Manatee School For the Arts singing Christmas carols on Sunday!
We will also have the Doggie Fun Zone, an obstacle course where your dog’s agility and speed can be put to the test! Dogs love the lure course and it's a major draw every year!
Lastly, don't forget to get your pet's photo taken by Paws for Pet Sake Photography with Santa & Mrs. Claus for your Christmas card!
Mark your calendars and bring your families and children (furry or otherwise) to the biggest four-legged event in town!
