Description
Continuing a 44-year-old tradition, the City of Venice Holiday Parade is the perfect “kickoff” to the holiday season in Venice, Florida. Over 3,000 enthusiastic and creative participants representing approximately 120 local companies, schools, churches, social organizations and music groups join together to make this community family event fun for all ages.
Thousands of spectators line the parade route early to find and secure their perfect spot to enjoy the festivities.
Pre-parade entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Harbor Drive and West Venice Avenue and the corner of Nokomis Avenue and West Venice Avenue. Parade begins at Park Blvd. at 7 p.m.
STREET CLOSINGS: Venice Avenue will be closed from Business 41 to Venice Beach beginning at 3 p.m.
2019 PARADE ROUTE: The parade officially begins at the corner of Park Blvd. and West Venice Avenue (south side). It will proceed on to the north side of West Venice Ave. after crossing over Harbor Blvd. From there it will make a right turn at Nokomis Ave. and travel to Turin St., where it makes another right, ultimately making its way to the Venice Community Center where the parade ends.
CONCESSIONS: Food and drinks will be available for sale throughout the parade route by approval only.
FACILITIES: Public restrooms, located behind the tennis courts and at the corner of Nassau Street and West Venice Avenue, will be open. Several Port-O-Lets will be available along the parade route.
PARKING: Public parking will be available at Venice High School and the Venice Community Center/Venice Library.
