Food Truck Festival 10am-8pm Car Show 10am-3pmDescription
This all-day event returns to the white sands of Coquina Beach for its third year, featuring live music, a kids zone, classic car show, arts and crafts vendors, and a myriad of food truck fare. Admission is free and includes musical entertainment throughout the day and into the evening from different local musicians, while the Kids Zone provides fun games, a bounce house, rock-climbing wall and face-painting for the young ones to enjoy. The Festival will also feature a visit from the Anna Maria Island Privateers Skullywagas well as a stellar car show - the Bill Mergens Memorial Car Show - with over 100 classic, antique, custom and muscle cars on display from 10am until 3pm. The alfresco affair promises food for every appetite from regional mobile food vendors selling a wide range of dishes including gourmet grilled hot dogs, pasta, pizza, philly cheese steak, meatball sliders, caprese paninis, muffuletta sandwiches, lobster rolls, crab cake sliders, coconut shrimp, tacos (seafood, Thai and Korean-style), Mediterranean pitas, BBQ (ribs, chicken, pulled pork & brisket), shave ice and smoothies, fresh coconut water and fresh-squeezed lemonade and more. Guests can also enjoy rum drinks, wine, margaritas, cold beer, sodas and water to toast another sunny spring season. Proceeds from the purchase of adult beverages and the tip jar monies go to the Chamber’s College Scholarship Fund given to graduating seniors in Manatee County. In addition, local artisans will have items available for sale, including coastal collectibles, hand-made jewelry, and other beach-inspired crafts – perfect to take home as souvenirs. Since its inception in 2016, the festival has grown and expanded its offerings each year. The annual Beach’N Food Truck and Music Festival is one of the Chamber’s foremost fund-raising events and is organized entirely by a volunteer committee of the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce.
