Heartwood is an RCYT Yoga Alliance registered school for children’s yoga. Every year, our campus closes to adults and opens to our favorite little yogis for yoga summer camp. Camp activities include Aerial Yoga, meditation and mindful art, and lessons center on daily themes such as kindness, self-acceptance, environmental awareness, respect for others, exploring positive ways to deal with conflict and stress and more. Our camper/teacher ratio of 1 teacher to every 3-5 students ensures that every camper receives the highest quality instruction.
Camps will be held June 5-9 from 9AM to 3PM. Different camps are available for ages 4 to 18. The cost is $200.
* Kids will be exploring the outdoors, so bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended!
- Mini Yoga Camp - For ages 4-5, or for students who are entering Kindergarten. Our youngest yogis skip the labyrinth, listen to stories around the medicine wheel, learn about energy in the chakra garden, do all sorts of yoga inside and out, as well as art and creativity projects.
- Youth Yoga Camp - For ages 6-10, or for students who are entering 1-5 grade. Students learn age-appropriate yoga and meditation in ways that are anything but dull, including aerial yoga, partner yoga, wet and wild yoga (outside under sprinklers), blindfolded yoga and more. Students work on creative, mindful art projects including mandala making, dreamcatchers, henna painting, expressive journaling and more.
- Pre-teen Yoga Camp - For ages 11-13, or for students who are entering 6-8 grade. This camp includes not just mat yoga, but acro-yoga, aerial yoga, chakra exploration, art, henna, and yoga themed activities.
- Teen Yoga Camp - For ages 14-18, or for students who are entering 9-12 grade. Teen yoga camp embraces more traditional yoga approaches, and includes intuitive arts such as journaling, making mandalas, dreamcatchers and other mindful arts, as well as learning to apply henna.
