JUMP DANCE COMPANY - BEST DANCE STUDIO

JUMP Dance Company, a Lakewood Ranch family owned and operated dance studio, recently kicked off its 12^th year with an exciting line-up of challenging, creative and fun classes all taught by adult dance professionals.    

The studio, led by owner/director and lifelong dancer, Kerry Mynatt, is structured to encompass opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities. It is Mynatt’s unique approach and attitude towards dance – the belief that dance should and can be for any child who is interested, that has lead JUMP Dance Company from a small afterschool program to a thriving studio of over 550 students. JUMP offers an exceptionally wide variety of programs, offering classes for students with all levels of interest in dance, from the beginning recreational dancer to the experienced competitive dancer, and everything in between.

JUMP’s 2017-18 Programs include Competitive Teams with Pre-Professional Programs for ages 6 and up (Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite); Specialty Competitive Teams (Hip Hop and Tap); Pre-Professional Programs and Performance Company for ages 8 and up (Levels 2-5); Children’s Classes for ages 18 months to 6 years (Tiny Tikes, Creative Movement, Pre-K Combo, and Youth Classes); Open Leveled Classes for ages 7 and up (Beginner to Intermediate II); Open Specialty Classes for ages 7 and up; Musical Theater Classes for ages 4 and up (Mini and Beginner/Intermediate) Musical Theater Performance Company for ages 7 and up (performing Alice in Wonderland, Jr).

JUMP Dance Company’s fall classes are now in session and registration is ongoing. Within their programs are classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Modern, Acrobatics, Tumbling, Aerial Arts, Circus Arts, and Musical Theater.

JUMP’S facility, conveniently located just south of SR 64, off Lakewood Ranch Blvd, is unrivaled in the area. The studio includes 2 locations and 5 beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped studios. Also a part of the JUMP family, is JUMP Start Preschool of the Arts which is now registering for Fall Classes.  JUMP Start follows the Manatee County School Calendar and classes are now in session. JUMP Start offers exciting “art-infused” educational opportunities for children ages 2-5.  Their mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and loving environment, guided by caring and professional individuals.  They are currently accepting enrollment for their FREE VPK, Preschool, Pre-K and Nursery Programs.  They offer a low child/teacher ratio, strong academic “theme based” curriculum, daily Music and Art, Creative Play, Centers, Hip Hop/Jazz and Gymnastics classes.  JUMP Start offers extended hours (7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.), as well as a flexible schedule of 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

The VPK Program is offered Mon – Fri, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  An optional Arts Program for VPK students is also available.   JUMP Start is proud to say that they recently received a perfect score (100% rating) on the Florida DOE VPK Kindergarten Readiness Test.

Summer programs at JUMP, which will be formally announced in March 2018 for the upcoming summer, include weekly summer dance and musical theater camps, preschool camps, evening dance classes, summer intensive programs, master classes, and workshops.
