May 4 | 10AM to 11:30AM: Mommy and Me: A Pottery Painting Tea Party ~ Join Distractions on the Island for a delightful morning featuring iced tea, lemonade, tea biscuits (cookies), fresh fruit, and creative painting fun. Each ticket includes a charming tea caddy spoon rest pottery piece to paint. RSVP / $25.
May 4 | 1PM to 2:30PM: Mommy and Me Cake Decorating ~ Join Stack’D Cake Studio at the Party Palace for a fun-filled afternoon where each mommy-and-mini duo will decorate a 5-inch cake together, using all the provided decorating supplies. The class will be guided by a professional cake, decorating instructor. As part of the celebration, you’ll also get to make your own flower bouquet, enjoy snacks, and create precious memories! Reservation required - $100 per pair. Ages 4 and up.
May 6 | 3PM to 5PM: Mother's Day Card Making for Tweens ~ We'll be using vibrant colored pencils and markers to bring their designs to life, while also incorporating beautiful words cut on the Cricut machine to add a personalized touch. To make the cards extra special, we'll add pop-up flowers that spring to life when opened, and pressed flowers for that extra personal and nature-inspired, Spring feeling. Hosted by Central Library. May 6 and 7 | 10AM to 11AM: Mornings with Mommy ~ A fun and educational program designed for young children ages birth through preschool accompanied by an adult. Each session is carefully crafted to provide a variety of engaging activities that promote early childhood development. From sensory activities to motor skills stations, and from arts and crafts to language and literacy activities, every session is filled with opportunities for learning and bonding. Registration required / $5 per family. This month's theme is Mother's Day.
May 7 | 4PM to 5PM: Millennial Mother's Day Group Workout: Come join us for a 30-45 minute Mother's Day group workout with music from the 90s and 00s! Vendors and fun following the workout to shop and browse from permanent jewelry, fun for the kids and various beauty/wellness products and services. Hosted by The Flock SRQ. $10 per mom (kid included).
May 8 | 9:30AM to 11AM: Muffins with Mom ~ Join us for a sweet morning featuring a special muffin with Mom, followed by time in the playscapes with friends. May 10 | 10AM to 11AM: Mystical Mermaids ~ On this mermaid-themed morning, everyone will start with a scavenger hunt through Sarasota Children's Garden, and collect treasures left behind by mermaids along the way. Aspiring merfolk can decorate their seashell to take home and create their own magical mermaid wand, a perfect keepsake for imaginative play. Gather for a special story time at the stage featuring How to Catch a Mermaid. Enjoy “Under the Sea” snacks before you head back to shore. RSVP required / $12.
