The Manatee Performing Arts Center's Summer Youth Education Program offers 3 two-week immersive theater camps for children aged 7 to 17. Participants receive training in singing, dancing, acting, and technical design, culminating in fully staged performances. The program aims to build a community of young performers, fostering teamwork and confidence in a safe environment. Additionally, one performance from each camp is provided complimentary for area youth-at-risk as part of the For Kids by Kids program. No experience necessary! Each camp session concludes with a performance for parents and the public. The cost is $500 per student, with scholarships available. - Disney's The Aristocats KIDS - June 16-27 | 9AM to 5PM | Ages 9-13 | $500. REGISTER HERE ~ Everybody wants to be a cat in Disney’s stage adaptation of the animated classic motion picture. Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns and features plenty of exuberant group numbers.
- Mary Poppins Jr - July 7-18 | 9AM to 5PM | Ages 12 -17 | $500. REGISTER HERE ~ Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins Jr. tells the delightful story of the magical nanny who brings fun, adventure, and life lessons to the Banks family. Filled with unforgettable songs and whimsical moments, this heartwarming musical is sure to captivate audiences of all ages!
