DINOS UNEARTHED Opens Friday at ZooTampa!

Something BIG has been unearthed at ZooTampa at Lowry Park! Fifteen larger-than-life dinosaurs will offer explorers of all ages the chance to embark on a prehistoric adventure at Dinos UnearthedThe immersive experience will transport guests back in time to get up close to colossal dinosaurs of the past during this limited-time event which opens Friday, February 7.

Guests will be awed by some of the largest animals ever to walk the face of the earth. Storied beasts like the 40-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex, a favorite species in popular culture that was the apex predator in its time, a fully grown Dilophosaurus, fast-moving carnivores named after its two crests, and the feathered Utahraptor with his 9-inch curved lethal claw will make guests believe that they are seeing the real thing! There are also plenty of opportunities to snap selfies alongside favorite prehistoric behemoths, including the Brachiosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and many more.

Throughout the dynamic exhibit, guests can interact with our guides and learn how each of these creatures played a role in their ecosystems and what they have in common with animal species that still share our planet. Learn how scientists today use the same types of clues to help animals in the wild and what ZooTampa is doing to support these conservation efforts.

During the event and throughout the Zoo, guests can enjoy ferociously delicious bites and dino-themed meals that will satisfy appetites of all sizes. Guests can also visit our Dinostaur retail shop offering rawring toys, gifts, apparel and more!Dinos Unearthed is included with Zoo admission or membership.

Zoo members are invited to be the first to preview Dinos Unearthed on Friday, February 7, through Sunday, February 9, during Member preview hours from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
