Since our inception in January of 2016, Educational Harbor Christian School’s mission has remained steadfast: To provide quality Christian education that is individualized, research-based, and community-supported. Our vision is to serve students, families, and our faculty, inspiring them to reach their fullest potential through a lifelong love of learning, and of Christ. As we enter our 10th year of operation, Educational Harbor continues to maintain this standard of excellence.
Smallest Class Sizes in Manatee County
We have the smallest class sizes in Manatee County! For grades K-3, our class is limited to 8 students. For grades 4-8, our classes are limited to 12 students. For high school, our classes are limited to 14 students.
Accredited since 2021
Educational Harbor is accredited with the FCCPSA: the Florida Coalition of Christian Private Schools Accreditation. This accreditation reviews our curriculum, standards, policies, procedures, school board, administrative procedures, and so much more. Through them, Educational Harbor has refined its definition of excellence and its operating procedures to ensure each student truly receives an individualized education.
Our Graduates and our High School
We encourage our graduates to find their passions and pursue them with vigor. Some of our students have opened businesses, successfully pursued licenses through Manatee Technical College, and graduated with dual enrollment college credit. We go out of our way to offer classes that our high schoolers enjoy, including classes like Forensic Science, Music of the World, and more. Our students are also allowed to participate in sports or music programs at their local public schools, dance or theater from partnered programs, and other outside activities, that allow them access to the “full high school experience” with the smallest class sizes in Manatee County at a ratio of 14:1. We ensure that our students legitimately learn the standards at a grade of 70% or above to pass, and as a parent, you don’t ever have to wonder if your student is caught up on their grades, or passing their classes. Finally, our high school offers 7.5 high school credits per year, allowing our seniors to pursue their future endeavors such as dual enrollment, graduating early, or starting a business.
Recess for Everyone
Each of our grade levels, from grades K-12, have access to free recess time, and time to socialize. Our younger kids have two outdoor times, and our older students have one. This allows our students to practice soft skills, play games, and relax before their afternoon classes. Research shows that all students and adults need break time and time to be outdoors. Even our high school students have as much as 10-15 minutes outside as a brain break daily. Educational Harbor facilitates this important aspect of learning and growth.
Homework
Research shows that additional homework, above and beyond completing classwork or projects, before high school, is not effective. High school does typically have nightly math and language arts homework as well as the occasional project. We want to ensure your students have time to spend with you, their family, and other activities or projects they enjoy outside of school.
Safest School in Manatee County
We currently have the safest set up! As the principal of Educational Harbor with my own children attending, you can rest assured knowing your student is always safe. We have:
- Security cameras in every classroom, hallway, and shared public space that can only be accessed by administrators.
- Our classroom doors are open, unless personal or private information is being shared, in which case, two adults and a security camera are present.
- Our building is locked all day.
- Student cell phones are locked up all day, from arrival to dismissal, to reduce social media usage, increase student engagement, improve soft skills, and more.
- We screen for behaviors as students enter our program, collecting references and referrals, to protect our student culture.
- All of our volunteers and staff go through a Ministry Safe course and background check. All of our staff is background checked through the FBI.
- We quickly and efficiently deal with student behavior.
- We explicitly teach students how to set and maintain healthy boundaries with their friends, family and other important adults in their lives.

Finally, Educational Harbor is dedicated to serve our students high quality curriculum, Bible Study, full-length novels, traditional mathematics, and critical thinking programs designed to create exceptional thinkers and leaders for our community, and for God.
