Fall Events Worth the Drive 2023

Take a Road Trip to enjoy those Fall Festivals and Events!

Want to head out of town for a fall festival or Halloween-inspired event?  There are a number of fun events going on all around!  Here is a list of recommended events that are within a 2-hour drive of Bradenton. Please note that some of these events are intended for mature audiences only due to the graphic nature of the event!  Enjoy!  


   Select nights beginning Aug 11 through Nov 1 - Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween (Orlando) - It's the happiest haunting on Earth! Don't miss your chance to collect candies, sweets and other frightfully delightful treats all while the park hosts grim grinning ghosts, eerie entertainment and Disney characters that go bump in the night.  Separate ticket required.

   Select nights beginning Sep 1 through Nov 4 - Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights (Orlando) - Explore terrifying haunted houses, make your way through multiple scare zones where creatures lurk around every turn, enjoy outrageous live shows and enjoy many of the park's most exciting rides and attractions. Not recommended for small children.  Separate ticket required.

   Select nights beginning Sep 8 through Oct 31 - Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream (Tampa) - Unexpected terrors lurk around every corner, including hundreds of roaming creatures, new haunted houses and exciting, live interactive entertainment.  Plus enjoy Florida's top thrill rides in the dark. Not recommended for small children.  Separate ticket required.

   Select nights beginning Sep 8 through Nov 4 - Scream-A-Geddon (Dade City) - Florida's premier horror park featuring 5 haunted houses and the monster midway.  Not recommended for small children.

   Sep 9 - Oct 31 (Saturdays and Sundays plus Oct 30 and 31) - Busch Gardens Spooktacular (Tampa) - Guests will step into a whimsical world full of enchantment with Kandy, a witch-in-training! A costume parade, story time and trick or treating are some of the activities guests will find in this immersive Halloween experience Included in the price of admission.  

   Sep 15 - Oct 12 (Fridays through Sundays) - Harvest Holler Farm (Polk City) - Enjoy the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, the “See the Animals” Adventure Hayride, or catch a ride on the Cow Barrel Train. Don’t forget to head over to the Giant Oaks and swing on the tire swings and then Climb Hay Mountain to it’s tallest peak.  From there you can overlook the Old Farm Miniature Golf Course and get an aerial view of Big Frank-n-Slide, one of our most popular attractions.  Tickets $15 adult / $12 children (ages 2-12).  Hours Friday 4PM to 8PM | Saturday 12PM to 8PM | Sunday 12PM to 5PM.

   Select Saturdays and Sundays Sep 16 - Oct 29 - LEGOLAND Brick or Treat (Winter Haven) - Enjoy an all-new fireworks show, new experiences, tons of candy, spooktacular limited time food offerings, and never-before-seen exclusive LEGO® characters!

   Select nights beginning Sep 16 through Oct 31 - Sea World's Halloween Spooktacular  (Orlando) - Enjoy this daytime underwater "fantasea" which includes trick or treating, whimsical pumpkin fish, sea-themed arts and crafts and up-close and personal animal encounters.  Separate ticket required.

   Sep 23 - Oct 31 - Screamin' Green Hauntoween (Orlando) - Join our crayon crew on their quest to discover rare, Halloween colors and meet monster-ific characters as you go! To find them all, you’ll journey into an ancient Pharaoh’s tomb, visit with a 3D Bride of Frankenstein and more all while creating creepy crawly crafts!  Every weekend enjoy live entertainment and trick-or-treat stations!

   Select nights Sep 29 - Oct 29 - Creatures of the Night at Zoo Tampa (Tampa) - The Zoo transforms into an eerie and immersive Halloween adventure. Ghouls and goblins of all ages can enjoy howling outdoor experiences, spooky characters, creepy culinary treats, and much more! No horror or gore, just fun frights for all!  After 4PM.  Separate ticket required.  Included with a Zoo membership or Pay for a Day Ticket. Reservations recommended.

   Select days Sep 30 - Oct 29 - Dade City Farms Fall Festival (Dade City) - Enjoy a corn maze, jump pad, a pumpkin patch, playground, petting zoo, petting zoo, a sunflower patch, a bubble station and lots more! 9AM to 6PM.  Tickets are $12 at the gate / $10 online for ages 12 and up | $9 at the gate / $7 online for ages 3-12.

   Oct 5 - Nov 6 - Hocus Focus New Halloween Experience at Fairgrounds (St Petersburg)- Searching for an eye-popping adventure this Halloween season that's more creative than creepy? Keep your eyes peeled for this limited-time activation including an eerie eyeball game and wearable glowing goodies. Fun for all ages, kids and adults alike.

   Oct 7 - Nov 5 (Saturdays and Sundays) - Fox Squirrel Corn Maze (Plant City) - This festival features a corn maze, pumpkins for sale, hayrides, games, vendors, music and simply enjoying the great outdoors. 10AM to 6PM. Tickets are $12.  Children ages 3 and under are free. 

   Oct 7-8 - St Pete Pier Fall Festival (St Petersburg) - Kick off the Fall Season with the Fall Festival, featuring family friendly entertainment, activities, food vendors, games/rides and the area's only waterfront pumpkin patch (hours Saturday Oct 7th: 11AM to 8PM | Sunday Oct 8th: 11AM to 8PM | Monday Oct 9th to Friday Oct 13th: 5PM to 9PM | Saturday Oct 14th: 11AM to 9PM | Sunday October 15th: 11AM to 6PM.

   Oct 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 - DeSoto County Fair Fall Festival (Arcadia) - Every Friday and Saturday from 6PM to 11PM in October.  

   Oct 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 - The Walk of Fear (Arcadia) - Every Friday and Saturday from 6PM to 11PM in October.  

   Oct 13-15, 20-22, 27-31 - Halloween Notte (Port Charlotte) - Enjoy bounce houses, rides, haunted houses, food trucks, vendors, a petting zoo, pony rides, photo opps and more.  

   Oct 21 - Nov 5 (Saturdays and Sundays) - Padgett Ranch Family Fest (Arcadia) - Enjoy a giant bounce pillow, a corn maze, train rides, a playground, vendors, food, fun and more.  Admission $10 | 2 and under free.

   Oct 27-31 - CMA Halloween Spooktakular (Clearwater) - Dive into a family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular at Clearwater Marine Aquarium with daily activities and spooky decorations October 27 through October 31. Join us from 3pm-7pm on Oct. 31 for an evening of eerie excitement, featuring a live DJ, costume contest and a dozen trick-or-treat candy stations for kids!  Included in admission. (One free child admission per adult on October 31 from 3PM until 7PM. Additional children receive 50% off admission). 

   Oct 28-31 - Dino-Ween Trick or Treat (Plant City) - Trick or treat amongst the dinosaurs.  9AM to 5PM.  Wear your costume and get $10 off admission.
