Do you want to learn how to play in a band or learn to write songs? School of Rock Lakewood Ranch offers a wide variety of music camps and workshops - every day, we watch our students grow from beginner musicians to confident and inspiring rock stars in their community! Our local music camps are perfect for musicians of any skill level who want to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals.
Rookie Camp
In this camp, 5- to 7-year-old beginners will learn about different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and appreciation. Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. This camp is designed for students who have little to no experience with music. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday with a live performance at the school at the end of the last day.

Rock 101 Camp
This camp is for beginners 8-12 years of age. No experience needed. Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a live concert at the end of the week for family and friends.

Classic Rock Rewind
Come learn the music of 60s, 70s and 80s rock icons such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen in our Classic Rock Rewind summer camp. Students will also learn about rock history and the stagecraft needed to perform on a stage. Great for students 7-18 years old who have had some previous instruction.
