Orlando is one of the best family destinations in the world. As such, when you plan a trip to Orlando, you have literally hundreds of hotels to choose from. What makes you choose one hotel over the other? I recently had the privilege of staying at the stylish, all-suite property, Meliá Orlando Celebration. Here are my top six reasons why this unique hotel stands head and shoulders above its neighboring hotels, and why you should book your next stay at the Meliá Orlando Celebration.

Room for Everyone
The Meliá Orlando Celebration is an upscale hotel featuring 289 spacious suites, which could easily pass for full-sized apartments. There are a number of room configurations to choose from, including Deluxe rooms, 1- and 2-Bedroom Suites, Family Grand Suites, Accessible Suites, Wellness Suites, and Fitness Suites.
All suites feature a split-level plan with adjoining seating areas, kitchens, and private balconies. The kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, and dinnerware, as well as a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a four-burner cooktop. Other amenities include an LCD flat-screen TV with cable, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, toiletries, iPod docks, and two free bottles of water per day. Bathrooms are spacious and are stocked with some of the largest towels I have ever seen! The beds are fitted with Egyptian-cotton linen and down comforters that you will literally sink down into. Free on-site laundry rooms are available.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside with large art murals painted on the walls of every floor.

Nonstop Fun
Let's talk entertainment! Meliá Orlando Celebration features a large 360-degree Vanishing Edge heated pool with a zero-entry point for the little ones. As a mom, I love that I could soak in the hot tub on the pool island and still be able to see my kids no matter where they are in the pool. And we all loved that it was open from 6AM to 11PM — it's the perfect way to unwind and relax after a full day at the parks.
There are lots of activities poolside, including lawn games like a giant Connect Four board, cornhole, miniature golf, and ping pong tables, plus basketball hoops in the pool and inflatables during the weekend. For the sports enthusiasts, there is also a beach volleyball court and mini soccer field.
Don't be shy! Join in a dance party, attend a water aerobics class or test your luck by spinning the giant prize wheel — you could win a free ticket to Universal Studios!
Weekends are a special time at the resort with fun themed pool parties, concerts, movie nights, car shows, and more. It was 80's weekend during my stay and the festivities lasted all day and into the night, with break dancers, stilt walkers, a live band, a surprise visit from Captain America, and a neon glow party at night.

It's Pet Friendly
For those of you who can't stand to leave Fido at home, put this hotel on your list! Meliá Orlando Celebration is dog friendly for all dog breeds and sizes. And they don't just allow dogs to come — they cater to them. The hotel has its very own dog park that your dog will love to run around and play in.
And after playtime, they will be hungry — lucky for them, the hotel has a menu exclusively for pups! Your four-legged babies can choose between Grilled Steak, Grilled Chicken Breast, or a Wilson's Burger, all served with steamed baby vegetables. Or book a spa day for your pooch so they can enjoy a Pupsicle, Mixed Berries, a Housemade Dog Biscuit, or Sliced Apples and Cucumbers.

Wellness
If you want to renew, relax, or work on your fitness, then Meliá Orlando Celebration is your destination! The exclusive Stay Well By Delos™ suites feature special amenities such as a sunrise simulator to gently awaken you each morning, a vitamin-C infusing shower, mood-enhancing aromatherapy, and an air-purification system.
There is an onsite health club and private Peloton and Mirror Suites, or guests can enjoy free access to the state-of-the-art Celebration Health Fitness Center and Day Spa across the street for a relaxing massage or a quick workout.
Part of wellness is cleanliness, and you can have the peace of mind knowing that this resort makes cleanliness a top priority. When I checked into my room, I noticed the clean smell as soon as I walked in, and I later found out that it is because of the Surfacide UV Light disinfection robot technology that they use to clean all of the guest rooms and public areas. This hospital-grade UV technology kills 99.99% of dangerous pathogens on hard surfaces and in the air, and Meliá Orlando Celebration is the first U.S. hotel to have it.

Dining Experience
Not having to cook is half of the vacation for me, so while the Meliá Orlando Celebration does have kitchens in all of their suites, you do not want to miss out on all of the yummy dining options! Have you ever met a Wilson you didn't like? Nope, me either! The Wilson Cocktails & Seafood is the hotel's signature restaurant — the high-end, trendy restaurant.
The Wilson features an indoor dining room with bar, an outside patio with an open-air bar, and services the pool area as well. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunches are available. The menu features coastal cuisine with global influences and seasonally inspired cocktails, award-winning wines, and craft beer.
The restaurant was still under construction during my stay, but we were able to sample many of the dishes that are prepared there, and let's just say I can't wait to go back!

Location, location, location
As if this is not enough to make you want to visit the Meliá Orlando Celebration, its location can't be beat! It is located just minutes off of I-4, but is set back on a quiet road that makes the hustle and bustle of the city seem far away.
The hotel is located in Disney's city of Celebration, which has been named one of America’s Top Ten “Prettiest Neighborhoods” by Forbes Magazine. You can only imagine how pretty a hotel in Disney's city must be!
And if you do decide to venture off property, the hotel is less than 5 miles from the Disney parks and within 20 minutes of Universal Studios and Sea World. Free shuttle transportation is provided to all of the parks. Other nearby entertainment includes Celebration Golf Club (rated "one of the best places to play"), Disney Springs, and ICON Park.
