This article highlights my journey with Jenny Craig for the week of April 14-21.

Be healthy and stay healthy with Jenny Craig at home! They're offering FREE home delivery or curbside pickup and FREE personal phone coaching.

I've been on this journey for 2 months now and have lost 15.2 pounds.  (* Avg. weight lost in study was 11.6 lbs./4 wks. for those who completed the program. I received promotional consideration).  And you know what? YOU can do it too!  I wouldn't normally say losing weight is easy, but well.... losing weight IS easy with Jenny Craig!  All you have to do is follow the menus every day and eat your food and you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week, which is a healthy amount of weight loss.  I think we have all probably tried those fad diets - "lose 14 pounds in a week!", the no-carb, no-sugar, no-whatever diet or just half starve yourself - and they may have worked somewhat in the short term, but who wants a yo-yo diet?!?  I'm so glad I have Jenny Craig to help me lose weight in the best possible way that is healthy for me.

Isn't it funny that when you eat healthier it makes you crave better choices? I have a salad every day for either lunch or dinner and I actually look forward to that salad now.  My family had hamburgers and french fries the other night for dinner and I didn't even want any of it.  Not to mention, I've really taken a liking to some of the Jenny Craig meals - below are two of my all time favorites!

Fruits and veggies are also a huge part of my daily menu with Jenny Craig, so with the quarantine we have been inspired to plant our own garden.  It was a fun way to get the family working all together, plus it's a great learning experience for the kids - they are so excited to take care of their very own gardens. Here's hoping for a plentiful crop!

Jenny Craig has taught me a lot and not just about food.  I have learned that ALL aspects of my life need to reflect healthy choices.  Exercise is super important to me (and thanks to the DNA Decoder test provided by Jenny Craig, I now know that my body shows enhanced responses to both cardiovascular exercise and strength training exercise and it shows that I have a high natural motivation to exercise).  Unfortunately, with the gyms being closed I have had to find other ways to get exercise in.  As a result, I have turned to walking and have made it a point to go on a walk every day. Not only is it helping me to lose weight, but it's a great stress reliever for me as it's "me" time after being in the house e-learning with my kids all day and it gives me fresh air and some vitamin D.  It's a win-win! I made a goal to walk 100 miles this month and at least 10,000 steps a day.  Today is the final day of the month and I DID IT!!!  I'm so proud of myself.  I also get my family involved when we can and we go on lots of family walks and bike rides.

I think to truly be successful with weight loss you need to transform your life to eat healthy AND stay active.  Thanks to Jenny Craig for starting me down the right path.  If you would like to join me in this journey, click HERE for Jenny Craig's latest offer. Stay healthy everyone!
