The Skinny on the NEW Era of Rhea Lana's

Manatee County Fall/Winter Event: Sept. 8-11 Bradenton Convention Center

By Jill Clulow August 22, 2019

The Cliff Notes: After a long, heartfelt, seven-year battle for moms’ rights to use their personal time for their benefit, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the consignment event industry is no longer allowed to use volunteers.

The Can-Do: Rhea Lana’s is now offering opportunities for YOU to earn extra income through seasonal employment! Earn extra money to shop with, yes please!

The Change: We’ve slightly reduced our consignor payout to 65% to help cover the cost of labor. However, consignors can count on consignor referral incentives to earn up to 75% of sales, guaranteed items against loss, watching sales Live, voice item entry and picking up your check on pick up day!  We have also instituted “Drop & Go” curbside check in service for consignors who donate all of their unsold items to local foster families and charities at the end of the event.

The Canty: In place of volunteering to shop early on Pre-Sale, you now have the opportunity to purchase an affordable ticket! There will always be an opportunity for Pre-Sale shopping free of admission charge, in addition to free admission every single public shopping day!  There are a limited number of tickets available for the earliest shopping so don’t delay.

The Conclusion: We’re excited to walk into this new era of Rhea Lana’s with YOU! Because the majority of our upscale model will remain the same, we’re confident Rhea Lana’s is going to be better than ever!
