I just finished up week 11 with Jenny Craig and am headed down the home stretch.  If you have been following along with me these past few weeks, you know that I have had some awesome weight loss weeks and also some weeks where I didn't lose very much or (gasp!) actually gained.  It has definitely been an adventure for sure but I did hit my goal of losing 20 pounds last week, and then exceeded it by actually losing 20.2. (Typical weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week) And I feel fabulous!  


I was talking to a friend the other day about my Jenny Craig journey.  She said it was wonderful that I was on this program and had lost all this weight.  But then she said she could never follow a diet like this because she wasn't willing to give up her favorite foods, especially deserts with the holidays coming up!  And you know what I said?  It sounds like you are a perfect candidate for Jenny Craig then!  You see, Jenny Craig isn't a "diet".  You aren't "giving up" foods.  Jenny Craig teaches you a healthier lifestyle. You can still eat all of the foods you love - the program just teaches you how to do it in a healthier way with smaller portions and more frequent meals.  If anyone has a sweet tooth it is me and I do not feel like I have been denied that craving at all.  Let me let you in on a little secret - Jenny Craig has amazing deserts that you get to eat EVERY DAY plus some awesome shakes and snacks.

Let's start with the Anytime Bars.  These babies are a daily snack.  They come in four different flavors - Peanut Butter Chocolate, Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch and Strawberry Yogurt.  I have taken a special liking to the Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch bars because they are like a granola, which I love. I will seriously miss eating these when I am no longer on the program.



You get Ready-to-Drink Shakes four times a week for breakfast.  These come in two flavors - chocolate and vanilla.  My favorite is (you guessed it!)...chocolate.



And then let's talk deserts, shall we?  Iced Oatmeal Cookies, Chocolate Walnut Brownies, Apple Crisp, Lemon Cake, S'mores Bar, Cookies & Cream Cake, Chocolate Lava Cake, Vanilla Buttercream Cupcake...and the list goes on and on. It definitely doesn't sound like I have been missing out on the sweets, does it?
