Monster Jam competitors are trained world-class athletes who’ve mastered not just the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete but also the vital dexterity to navigate these 10,000 pound machines which are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. All Monster Jam competitors, from legends to rookies, are pushed to their limits with new and complex track designs to deliver more jaw-dropping live motorsports action. Only qualified applicants are selected to train at Monster Jam University and they must pass an intense series of training and testing before touring with Monster Jam. New competitors are instructed at Monster Jam University by eleven-time Monster Jam World Finals® Champion Tom Meents alongside Monster Jam veterans Charlie Pauken and Jon Zimmer.

Monster Jam Triple Threat SeriesTM is coming to Amalie Arena August 19 for two shows - 1PM and 7PM!
Monster Jam has expanded its fiercely competitive Monster Jam® Triple Threat SeriesTM and takes the skills of Monster Jam competitors to a whole new level of athletic endurance with this adrenaline-charged competition where fans will witness intense action on three different Monster Jam vehicles. The Monster Jam® Triple Threat SeriesTM West presented by AMSOIL can only be seen in 10 select cities across the country and features the most versatile athletes of Monster Jam. Monster Jam fans will witness each athlete using three mechanical marvels: Monster Jam Speedsters, Monster Jam ATVs and Monster Jam trucks. They will battle it out in seven competitions of strength, ability and stamina for a spot in Monster Jam World Finals.
