Beginning in 2018 in Austin, TX, Bat City Comic Professionals’ mission merges the love of comics with the value of education. As a 501(c)(3) organization, Bat City creates resources and workshops for educators, students, and parents to help students of all-ages improve their reading, writing, and imagination skills. In the last 3 years alone, over 4000 kids have participated in their writing program. Funding for their programming is generated by purchases made in their three-time Eisner Finalist brick-and-mortar comic shop located at 915 Manatee Ave E. Bradenton, FL.
